Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) - The Assistant Nurse Manager functions as the primary support person to the Nurse Manager for the direction and coordination of nursing care for a specific patient care unit. The ANM collaborates with the nurse manager in assessment and planning for nursing care. They carry out the responsibilities of the nurse manager in their absence with guidance from the Administrative Director. The Assistant Nurse Manager participates in hiring and evaluation of staff. The Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective operations of the nursing unit.
Clinical Nurse Coordinator - A registered professional nurse who under the general direction of the Department Director/Nurse Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the department. The role has four primary functions: 1) operational management of the patient care process; 2) team building; 3) clinical and customer service role modeling; and 4) administration management development/support.
Nursing Supervisor - The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, consultation and collaboration with the goal of facilitating the provision of high-quality care and service to a defined patient group or clinical area. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a resource to the organization related to the practice of ambulatory nursing and the community for information related to care within that area. The Nursing Supervisor must have an intense commitment to high level customer service, and the ability to foster that culture within the site or sites they manage.
