Unit Description:
- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Registered Nurse to support both our Orthopedics and Podiatry practices.
- This shared leadership role plays a key part in clinical operations, team coordination, patient experience, and support of evolving care delivery models.
- The Lead RN will work closely with providers, staff, and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across two dynamic specialty clinics.
- This position is especially exciting as we prepare to transition into our brand-new, state-of-the-art combined Ortho/Podiatry/Rehab clinic on Pond Lane, opening October 2026!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day oversight of nursing and clinical support staff in both Orthopedics and Podiatry.
Support onboarding, education, and ongoing competency development for clinical team members.
Serve as a clinical resource to providers and staff; assist with complex patient needs, triage, and care coordination.
Collaborate closely with Practice Manager and provider leads to support workflows, scheduling, patient flow, and operational needs.
Assist with quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and continuous improvement efforts.
Participate in staffing planning, daily huddles, and problem-solving to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Provide direct patient care, including rooming, patient education, procedures, triage and clinical support as needed.
Uphold a positive, team-focused culture and model professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Current RN licensure in the state of Vermont
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical RN experience required; experience in orthopedics, podiatry, or ambulatory specialty clinic care strongly preferred.
Previous leadership experience or demonstrated leadership ability highly desirable.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced clinic serving multiple specialties.
Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative, and compassionate care.
On-call: Not required.
