Job Description

The PMG Lead Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of front office operations within the practice. This position supports the Practice Supervisor and Practice Administrator in supervising front desk staff, coordinating schedules and coverage, training and onboarding employees, monitoring workflow efficiency, and ensuring excellent patient service. The Lead Coordinator serves as a liaison between providers, clinical staff, billing teams, and patients to promote effective communication, operational excellence, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support front desk staff in daily operations.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure efficient patient registration, scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes.
  • Provide front office coverage as needed.
  • Monitor workflow accuracy, customer service standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with patient payment collection, billing concerns, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Facilitate communication among staff, providers, and leadership.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support practice operations.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required.
  • Previous lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems.
  • Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining attention to detail.
