Job Summary

The Alice Center Assisted Living Program is accepting applications from compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) interested in per diem opportunities on our care team. We review qualified candidates on an ongoing basis as staffing needs evolve. If your experience aligns with an available opportunity, we'll reach out to discuss next steps.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Home Health Aide (HHA) provides compassionate, resident-centered care by assisting with personal care, mobility, activities of daily living, and other supportive services. This role promotes residents' independence, dignity, and well-being while helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Team members are expected to uphold our values of Respect, Efficiency, Accountability, and Caring (REACH).

Education & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

  • Per diem commitment of at least two shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.

  • Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and preserving dignity.

  • Observe, document, and report changes in residents' condition.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support.

  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care.

  • Complete assigned health-related tasks within the Home Health Aide scope of practice and organizational policies.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
