At Helen Porter, we believe each resident is an important and valued member of our vibrant community. We are committed to caring for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of every individual we serve. Residents are supported in one of three specialized neighborhoods designed to meet their unique needs:

Memory Care

A dedicated neighborhood for residents living with dementia and memory loss. Our activity-based care model provides a warm, supportive, and secure environment that promotes dignity, engagement, and quality of life.

Short-Term Care

Focused on rehabilitation and recovery following surgery, illness, injury, or hospitalization. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively to help residents regain independence and return to their homes or community settings whenever possible.

Long-Term Care

Providing 24-hour skilled nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living, while fostering meaningful community connections and resident engagement through activities, events, and personalized programming.

Helen Porter's Memory Care and Long-Term Care neighborhoods also feature dedicated end-of-life suites designed to provide comfort, privacy, and support for residents and their loved ones. Through collaboration with UVM Health Network's palliative care teams and our Palliative Support Services program, we provide compassionate care that honors each individual's journey.
